For the wages of sin is death, but the gift from God is everlasting life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
You have continued with me in my temptations. I assigned a kingdom to you just as my Father assigned it to me. Just as you eat and drink at my table in my kingdom; you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
You have given him authority over all flesh that he may give everlasting life to the ones whom you have given him.
In my Father's house are many dwelling places. If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
We know that if our earthly house (human body) (habitation of life) is destroyed; we have a building from God. It is an everlasting house in the heavens, not made with human hands.
They desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Because of this, God is not ashamed to be called their God. He has prepared a city for them!
After this I saw a great crowd that no man could number. It was from all nations, and tribes, and people, and tongues. It stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes. They had palm branches in their hands. They cried with a loud voice, saying: Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.
The people from the sunset (the west) will respect the name of Jehovah. Those from the rising of the sun (the east) will reverence his glory. He will come like a rushing stream that the Spirit (wind) (breath) of Jehovah drives.
Where ever the sun rises and sets my name will be great among the people of the nations. Incense will be offered to my name everywhere. It will be a pure offering! For my name will be great among the nations, said Jehovah of Hosts.
I tell you, many will come from the east and the west, to sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven:
People will come from east, west, north and south and sit down at the feast in the Kingdom of God.
They sing a new song, saying: You are worthy to take the book, and to open the seals, for you were slaughtered and by your blood you bought persons for God out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation.
I said to him: Sir, you know. He said to me: These are the ones who came out of the great tribulation. They washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Know that you were redeemed from your futile way of life inherited from your fathers. [The redemption] was not with corruptible things like silver or gold, but with precious blood, as of a lamb without spot, even the blood of Christ.
Blessed are those who obey his commandments. They have the right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates of the city.
I tell you, every one who confesses me before men; the Son of man will also confess him before the angels of God.
Not everyone who calls me Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven. He who does the will of my Father in heaven will enter. Many will say to me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?' I will say to them, 'I never knew you. Depart from me, you workers of evil.'
And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
We all, with unveiled face, behold as in a mirror the glory of God and are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, exactly as from God's Spirit.
Christ will, through his power, bring everything under his authority. He will change our humble bodies and make them like his glorified (glorious) body (literally and figuratively: body of his glory). He is able to subject all things to himself.
Beloved, now we are children of God. It is not yet revealed what we will be. We know that when he is revealed we will be like him. We will see him just as he is.
He offered us his precious and exceedingly great promises. Through these you may become partakers of the divine nature. You will escape from the corruption that is in the lust-filled world.
He who can hear should listen to what the Spirit says to the congregations! To him who overcomes I will give the right to eat the fruit of the tree of life that grows in the (Paradise) Garden of God.'
To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with me on my throne, even as I also overcame, and sat down with my Father on his throne.
They heard a great voice from heaven say: Come up here. So they ascended up to heaven in a cloud as their enemies beheld them.
For the Lord will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God: and the dead in Christ will rise first. We that are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so will we ever be with the Lord.
Then I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying: Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men. He will dwell with them and they will be his people! God will be with them, and be their God.
I will see your face (be in your presence) when I am declared righteous. When I wake up, I will be satisfied to see (perceive) (comprehend) you.
If I go and prepare a place for you I will come again and I will receive you to myself, for where I am you may also be.
We that are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so will we ever be with the Lord.
You make the path of life known to me. Complete joy is in your presence. It is pleasant to be at your right hand forever.
Jehovah's ransomed will return. They will enter Zion with singing! Everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.
His lord said: 'Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, so I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'
It is the same. I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine good people who do not need to repent.
I spoke these things in order that my joy may continue with you and your joy may be made full.
Who is our hope, or joy, or crown of exultation? Is it not you, in the presence of our Lord Jesus, at his coming? For you are our glory and joy!
Look to (consider without distractions) Jesus, the Leader (Predecessor) and Finisher (Perfecter) of our faith. He despised the shame. He endured the stake for the joy that was set before him. Then he sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
All of this proves that God's judgment is just, and as a result, you will become worthy of his Kingdom, for which you are suffering. It is a righteous thing for God to repay with affliction (great suffering and distress) those who afflict you. You who are afflicted rest with us at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with the angels of his power in flaming fire.
We who believe enter into the rest. As God said: I swore in my anger: 'They shall not enter into my rest.' Yet God's works were completed from the foundation of the world.
Then I heard a voice from heaven say: Write: Blessed are the dead who die in union with the Lord from this time forward: Yes, says the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works follow them.
In the resurrection they will not marry nor be given in marriage. They will be like the angels in heaven.
For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as angels in heaven.
Those accounted worthy to attain to that age and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage. They cannot die anymore for they are equal to the angels. They are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.
The city did not need the sun or the moon to shine on it. For the glory of God and of the Lamb was its light.
Those who have wisdom (insight) will shine like the brightness of the firmament. They turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.
The righteous will shine as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He that has ears let him hear.
Our light affliction is for the moment. It works more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory for us.
You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, and a people for God's own possession, that you may show the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
When Christ, who is our life, will be made known, then you will also be made known with him in glory.
Father, I desire that these whom you gave me may be with me where I am. I want them to see the glory you have given me. For you loved me before the creation of the world.
You should walk worthily of God, who called you into his own kingdom and glory.
When the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away.
I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that will be revealed in us.
I exhort the elders among you. I too am an older man and a witness of the sufferings of Christ. I am also a partaker of the glory that will be revealed.
